Milk Expression–Train the Trainer
This is a 1/2-day virtual training offered to WIC local agency Breastfeeding Coordinators. Participants will be provided with the necessary information, skills, and administrative tools to train their local agency WIC staff on how to provide information effectively and efficiently on breast pumps and hand expression to WIC participants. Experienced Breastfeeding Coordinators who have attended a previous training are welcome to attend. Since this is a Train-the-Trainer format, it is limited to one representative per agency. After completion of this training, it is expected that information will be shared with the training participant’s local agency staff who will be responsible for issuing pumps to clients (per Policy 4.05 Breastfeeding Equipment Issuance and Documentation), hence the Train-the-Trainer format.

One or Two Pump Varieties
Manual/electric (single use/multiple use) pump demos – suggestions:
- Manual Pumps: Harmony, Hygeia One Hand Pump, or other available at your agency
- Electric Pumps:
- Multiple User: Symphony with kit, or other available at your agency
- Single User: Medela Pump in Style, Spectra S2, Ameda Mya Joy or other available at your agency

- Balloon, cloth breast, some other breast model
