Advanced Competent Professional Authority Training
The Advanced CPA training has been completely revamped to accommodate the virtual training environment. Participants will spend the morning discussing concepts that support advancing the practices of a CPA to focus on changing health outcomes in the family with the ultimate goal of creating healthier communities. Continuity of care, assessment, training new staff and working specifically to meet Michigan WIC’s 5-year plan for improving health outcomes will be the topics covered. The morning is highly interactive, relying on participant input to drive the training.
In the afternoon, a live MI-WIC session is used to apply the concepts from the morning. Using test clients and scenarios, participants will use their client-centered skills to guide the trainer in creating documentation that captures the complete client assessment and will assure the best continuity of care is possible.
To fully participate and receive CEUs for the training, participants will need to log in with a computer or phone that has both audio and video capabilities.
